Founded in 1856, University of Maryland, College Park is the flagship institution in the University System of Maryland. Dining Services is one of the largest departments on campus with yearly revenue in excess of 100 million dollars and over 2,000 full time, part time, special event and student employees. Dining outlets range from residential dining rooms to nationally branded QSRs to Markets, Catering, and Cafes in Academic Buildings. Additionally, Dining Services operates a full-service restaurant, Big 10 athletic event concessions, and an in-house Bakery, all supported by in-house Facilities, Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, and Business teams.
