Description of Work:
The Housing Facilities Systems Sr. Associateis responsible for managing and optimizing facilities-related technology systems that support the operations of Housing & Dining at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. This position oversees the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), FMX, which is the primary tool for managing 2.5 million square feet of residential and dining spaces across City and East Campus. FMX facilitates preventative maintenance and corrective repairs for over 6,000 pieces of cataloged equipment and streamlines daily workflows for the housing facilities maintenance team.
As the department's FMX and StarRez expert, the Housing Facilities Systems Sr. Associate ensures data integrity, develops insightful reports and dashboards, and provides guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders. The position also collaborates with campus partners to refine data management practices and enhance system integrations to ensure operational efficiency and support a safe, comfortable living environment for students.
In addition to FMX and StarRez, this role evaluates and implements emerging facilities technologies to improve maintenance planning, sustainability, and building lifecycle management. By leveraging innovative technologies and fostering collaboration, the Housing Facilities Systems Sr. Associate plays a critical role in delivering high-quality housing and dining services that meet the diverse needs of the university community.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer or software engineering, computer science, data science, or related field. 2 years of experience in system/database management and process development, with familiarity in coding, SQL, and report writing. Microsoft Office experience to include excellent email, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software program skills. Basic math skills. Experience must demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with students in a higher education setting. Previous experience working in a college housing and dining program. Experience with StarRez application, reporting, and administrative features.
