Position Summary:
Ready to take the wheel and drive your career forward? Parking and Transportation Servicesis looking for a responsible Bus Driver to join our team! You'll operate full-sized passenger buses and shuttles, ensuring passenger safety while supporting our South Campus and Downtown Campus operations. Let's move forward together!
Key Responsibilities Include:
Safely operate a full-sized passenger bus and UB owned shuttles, on and off state property, following Vehicle and Traffic Laws.
Handle various road conditions while ensuring the safety of passengers.
Perform routine bus maintenance, including cleaning, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and basic repairs.
Navigate South Campus and Downtown Campus transit routes, events, map itineraries, and assess pick-up/drop-off points as needed.
Maintain trip records, passenger counts, mileage, and fuel purchases.
Use communication equipment to monitor road, weather, and traffic conditions while coordinating with supervisors and drivers.
Provide friendly, helpful customer service to the campus community.
This position is defined as safety-sensitive, and as such, is subject pre employment and random alcohol and drug testing under the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991.
