The Senior Coordinator for Housing Assignments (SCHA) manages the housing assignments for approximately 5,000 on campus students. The Senior Coordinator supervises three full-time administrative staff and provides training and oversight for Campus Living & Learning's (CL&L) front desk. The ideal candidate will be able to: investigate, analyze, and provide solutions to problems, work as a member of a team, establish priorities for their team, communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, work with numbers and analyze data, establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of university constituents (Athletics, the Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX Office, the Office of Access and Learning Accommodations, the Paul L. Foster Success Center, and Student Conduct), possess excellent interpersonal skills to assist in customer relations, and independently interpret and apply policies.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
A Master's Degree is required. Three to five years of relevant work experience, proficiency with StarRez, and supervisory experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
What You Will Do
Housing Applications & Assignments
Oversee new first-year, new-transfer, summer, and returning student housing application processes
Assign student profiles and track occupancy levels throughout application and assignment processes
Work in collaboration with Program Directors and students to finalize housing assignments
Coordinate room changes during and between semesters
Uphold the CL&L Housing Contract and administer the contract release process.
Direct the fall and spring cancellation processes
Supervision
Supervise three Assignments Associates who oversee CL&L's front desk, phones, email, and chat
Create and direct daily auditing and record-keeping tasks for the Assignments Associate team
Develop and uphold customer service processes and standards
Guide team in appropriately responding to student, parent, and constituent requests and complaints
Reporting
Develop, modify, and maintain reports covering housing applications, assignments, on-campus residency, and key housing processes
Analyze data from housing reports and make constructive recommendations
Pull housing data as requested for colleagues
Organize reporting database within StarRez
Partnerships, Communication, and Recruitment
Meet with and work alongside campus partners to ensure housing needs are met
Send departmental communication through StarRez to all on-campus students
Participate in new-student recruitment events
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
