Position Information: UC Riverside's Housing Services is recruiting for the Associate Director, Housing Administration. The full salary range for the Associate Director, Housing Administration is $81,500 - $150,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $110,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Note that this is an in-person, on-campus position; remote work is not available.
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Housing Services, the Associate Director-Housing Administration serves as a central campus resource and principal designee of the Senior Director. Has direct oversight of and responsibility for the multi-disciplinary staff, technology systems, business processes, and outcomes related to meeting campus housing occupancy goals, as well as divisional and campus priorities and objectives. Develops and maintains critical collaborative relationships with a variety of campus and community partners to ensure that the needs of the various student demographics are appropriately considered. Facilitates data-driven business analytics, proposals and feedback mechanisms. Ensures fiduciary integrity while coordinating marketing and recruitment activities, applications, assignments, contractual agreements, and financial obligations for a resulting campus housing population of approximately 8,000 residents generating income of more than $90M.

Solid knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures with a focus on budget, account and fund management and/or personnel management within labor contract(s) and personnel policy.
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; accounting and payroll.
Demonstrated skills in employee supervision and HR administration.
Solid knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
Solid organizational and customer service skills to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Solid interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling to effectively motivate others.
Solid skills to quickly evaluate complex issues and identify resolution.
Strong customer service orientation, experience and skills working with the public clientele such as staff, faculty, families, students and parents. Includes demonstrated ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
Solid organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

Political acumen to understand complex organizational structure and how to navigate effectively in a collaborative environment that must work across multiple departments and with campus and external partners.
Knowledge of UCR Housing Services' policies and procedures, protocols and systems.
Knowledge of local housing market trends as well as national trends in university housing policies and processes.
