As a subject matter expert, reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for the development and delivery of all internal financial reporting, IPEDS reporting, budgeting, modeling, and analysis of the College. As such, it is the primary liaison with the Information Technology Department in ensuring efficient and effective systems and shared folder architecture, financial databases, financial metrics, and data definitions. The role has multiple facets including strategic components, operational day-to-day accountability through efficiency and effectiveness analyses, and metric tracking and controls accountability. The role must be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity. It is essential this role be able to turn insights into actions.
Analyzes business cases and provides decision-making support.
Performs month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
Maintains procedures and control systems, and effectuates process for budget development, forecasting, and monitoring.
Ensure all reports and their associated narratives are produced accurately and on time.
Evaluates and interprets a broad range of data, reconciles discrepancies, and translates information to best serve stakeholder needs.
Monitors, reports, analyzes, and forecasts the College’s cash position, working capital, and debt covenant performance.
Leads the College’s annual Tuition and Fee price modeling, working closely with Student Accounts and the Registrar’s Office.
Reviews and reports on program contribution margin on a regular basis, and performs return-on-investment analyses.
Provide performance data as requested.
Support business growth and/or drive process improvement.
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and customer requirements.
Helps minimize the College’s exposure and risk on projects via financial modeling and progress analysis.
Efficiently and effectively manages the Prophix system, including training of stakeholders.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and senior leadership.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration required.
Master of Business Administration preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in financial data analytics experience desired.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
Participation in system implementations a plus.
Experience with the following technologies and applications required: Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel capabilities.
Experience with the following technologies and applications preferred: Prophix, Great Plains, PowerCAMPUS.
Ability to work 40 hours per week.
