Associate Controller

Knowledge and technical competencies in accounting, financial concepts and financial accounting standards, regulations and best practices to include generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) as they related to higher education accounting activities. Demonstrated experience and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Demonstrated experience with Banner or similar enterprise financial management software application. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects. Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situations when numerous and diverse demands are involved. Ability to think critically and creatively, have a high standard of integrity, and be motivated to incorporate best practices into the organizational structure. Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgement in the establishment, interpretation, application, and enforcement of all rules, regulations, and policies. Ability to effectively manage the work of others by providing information, guidance, and motivation. Strong customer service skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment, excellent analytical skills, effective written and verbal communication and the ability to communicate accounting matters to non-financial College constituents. |
Additional Salary Information: Range of $70,000 - $90,000
