The Budget Analyst is a key member of the budget and financial planning team. The Budget Analyst plays a central role in strategic budgetary projects, the development of annual and quarterly forecasting, trend analysis, and more, while maintaining the highest level of integrity. The ability to synthesize financial information and convey sound advice to staff, faculty, and administrators with varying degrees of financial literacy will be essential to success in this role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include:

• Under direction of the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Administration (AVPFA), assist in preparation and monitoring of annual College operating and capital budgets. 
• Analyze past, present, and future trends to predict College financial performance.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as well as multi-year forecasts and year-end closeout.
• Provide analytical support for budget projects and preparation of reports.
• Serve as a peer resource on finance policies and procedures to business officers and department coordinators across F&M.
