Cochise College invites applications for the full-time, administrative staff position of Director of Finance/Controller. This position, in collaboration with the finance team, is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the financial operations and accounting functions for the district including budget development and planning, financial management and reporting, audits and year-end close processes.
Starting salary range is $85,221 to $97,151, depending on qualifications, plus an annual travel stipend of $5,200 for travel within the district for full-time, year around position. A relocation package is also negotiable. The college also offers a generous benefits package that includes membership in the Arizona State Retirement defined benefit program, employer paid medical, dental, and life insurance, paid holidays, and tuition exemption for dependents. The successful candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and a minimum of five years of accounting experience and five years of management and supervisory experience demonstrating progressive responsibility and leadership. Prior experience in a higher education or not-for-profit, government environment is preferred.
