We invite candidates to apply for our Associate Vice President of Business Services and Controller position. Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP/CFO), the Associate Vice President (AVP) provides leadership and oversight to the Department of Business Affairs, including accounting, audit, budget, payroll, procurement, accounts payable and receivable, grant and asset management, and process improvement. The AVP is the controller for the College and supervises all audit activity and financial reporting for the College and the Foundation. The AVP will manage a staff of 4 direct and 11 indirect reports and support the VP/CFO by working strategically and collaboratively with leadership to enhance the college’s financial strength through analysis, innovation, efficiency, high quality budgeting and monitoring, accurate accounting and tax compliance, and timely reporting for decision-making. Additional areas may be added to the portfolio based on experience. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Master’s degree in accounting or business administration or Certified
Public Accountant (CPA) required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years’ management and supervisory
experience in fiscal and business operations. Must have experience with computerized accounting systems and
software programs; Banner and Fast Finance experience preferred.
