Defiance College (Defiance, Ohio) a private, independent college invites applications for the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA). Defiance College seeks a leader who is energetic, strategic, entrepreneurial and collaborative; the successful applicant will contribute to President Richanne Mankey’s vision as outlined in the strategic plan to grow Defiance College to 1,000 students by 2025. The VPFA is responsible for leading and managing the College’s finances and operations, as well as overseeing business and service functions in Information Technology, Facilities and Housekeeping. This professional works closely with the Board of Trustees as the administrative liaison for the finance, retirement and audit committees.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of progressive experience in leadership, as well as management of people, knowledge of budgeting processes, financial accounting, endowment management, risk management, contract management, legal complaints, and debt and investment management. This position requires a master’s degree with a CPA certification with at least 10 years of progressive leadership and management experience in finance. Higher education or non-profit experience preferred.
