The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost (SVPP) at Iowa State University seeks candidates for the position of Budget Analyst IV. The position will be expected to provide leadership and technical support for system and data projects that support the goals and missions of the Academic Division. The position will contribute to the development of division-wide revenue and expense estimates, communication needed to support divisional priorities, and input on policy, process, and procedures.
The Budget Analyst will work closely with the SVPP Budget and Planning Team and other leaders to provide data driven support of concepts and suggestions. Primary duties will include tuition and fee revenue estimating, including the analysis of financial impacts of possible rate changes that ultimately the SVPP will move forward to other senior leaders.
Other duties will include contributing to the analysis and refinement of business processes. The position will be a liaison with the Academic Fiscal Officer Council members as their units navigate current and future expectations in conjunction with a new financial system, improved service delivery, and an all-funds, multi-year budgeting approach. The position will coordinate efforts with the Council in support of consistency and standard operating procedures.
The successful candidate will have strong communication, relationship building, and change management skills, as well as extensive skills with excel and other data manipulation software and tools, the ability to make independent judgment, great attention to detail.
