This position is responsible for the production of web and online projects, with primary responsibilities involving designing, building, and troubleshooting web pages. Secondary responsibilities are to be the primary marketing resource for
IT and clients for back-end digital display technical functionality. Responsibilities include project management, client/peer consultations, system training and troubleshooting, research, strategic planning, use of focus groups and analytics to
better inform marketing department on initiatives.
Add users and create Google and other analytics that better inform marketing staff on how to optimize campaigns for websites, email, social media, digital display advertising, and paid/unpaid search advertising while acting as a resource to protect the brand and ensure accessibility compliance of media.
Build, organize, and update pages within CMS. Test to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform quality. Ensure page content meets accessibility guidelines. Take direction for graphic design and incorporation of design elements. Assist with CMS training. Areas include but are not limited to; Food & Beverage, Retail, Conferences and Events, Marcum, Mail & Package Center, Staff Development, Rec Sports, Goggin Ice Center, and a forward facing Customer Service unit.
Manages software/hardware administration and acts as the frontline support for Campus Services Marketing departments, customers, and clients by providing troubleshooting, guidance, and training when appropriate for marketing departments, personnel, and customers. Act as our customer liaison for system software/hardware troubleshooting with identified IT partners, especially as it pertains to, but is not limited to, Cascade, Digital Display Hardware, Fourwinds, Qualtrics, Formstack, shared email and social media outlets.
Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders of Miami University to further marketing initiatives and address short and long-term digital project needs for all units within Campus Services and attend departmental marketing meetings as necessary with Account Managers of each area of Campus Services as it pertains to supported systems, area and project responsibilities. Serves as account liaison for University partners as needed.
Develops work processes and procedures for all aspects of required work performed by interns and students. Documents work/system procedures.
Provides solutions across several platforms (web, eCommerce, digital screens, formstack, qualtrics, etc.). Requires extensive analysis to outcome.
May need to assist with event and marketing installations requiring lifting, bending, and using specialized tools.

Associate's degree, or vocational or technical school degree in Web Design, IT, Marketing, Communications or related field and three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated knowledge XHTML visual and text editors, CSS, and related basic Web technologies. Knowledge of 508 Accessibility Standards and practical compliance. ?
Demonstrated knowledge of SEO techniques and best practices. Organizations skills that include a strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with broad range of campus constituencies.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in creating new work products, while maintaining collaborative relationships with peers, Campus Services departments, and University Communications and Marketing staff.
A minimum of one year’s experience in design, development, and management of complex websites.

The Department of Housing, Dining, Recreation & Business Services is a large, dynamic, and self-operated department including Dining, Residential, Recreational, and other hospitality serv...ices, among several others. We currently have 10 dining operations located on the Oxford campus, as well as operations on the Hamilton and Middletown regional campuses, all supported by the Demske Culinary Support Center located in Oxford. These options include buffet, a la carte, and restaurant-style venues. Currently, approximately 20,000 meals are served per day.
