Under of the general direction of the Director of Finance & Operations, the Process Improvement Manager effectively manages the strategic aspects of initiatives from inception to conclusion and mitigates any risk. A large shared services project is currently underway and will be the primary focus. This position assembles, coordinates and manages multidisciplinary process improvement teams. The incumbent facilitates and troubleshoots a myriad of problems associated with developing complex systems, coordinating teams, designing projects, establishing milestones and meeting deadlines. This position provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to project sponsors, leaders, and teams. The Sr. Project Manager chairs various project review meetings and establishes and maintains liaison as required for leadership committees.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Experience in project management, process improvement, and/or equivalent experience, including a successful roll-out of a project.
Evidence of organizational skills and project planning.
Evidence of the knowledge of project management methodologies.
A working knowledge of current Microsoft software applications.
Excellent written communication skills (as measured by a review of application materials).
Five or more years of project management, process improvement, or equivalent experience, including a successful roll-out of a project.
Evidence of the ability to take charge of work and work independently.
Proven success in simultaneously managing multiple projects.
Three or more years of experience in transformation/change agent role within an organization engaged in process transformation.
Evidence of experience in managing relationships at a senior level for maximum influence. Knowledge of quality tools, lean foundation elements, continuous improvement and change management.
Experience managing or supervising a team of professional staff members.
Strong negotiation, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
