The Director of Emergency Management is responsible for developing, maintaining, and effectively implementing Lansing Community College’s Emergency Operations Plan, Continuity of Operations Plan, and the annual Training and Exercise Plan. This position also serves as one of the college’s senior liaisons between the college and all state and local emergency management teams and first responders. In addition, this position is required to develop, maintain, and effectively execute emergency preparedness training programs for students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in emergency management or related discipline OR equivalent combination of education (including certifications) and related work experience
Demonstrated work experience in the field of emergency management required
Must demonstrate a commitment to work in a team environment as well as a commitment to diversity, continuous improvement and the community college philosophy
Michigan Professional Emergency Manager certification preferred
Previous experience working in the field of emergency management in a campus setting preferred
