Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Financial Operations, the Finance Procurement Director is the Chief Procurement Officer for the College and its related entities including the Association, Auxiliary, Child Care Center and the Art Gallery. In addition to the Overview duties, the Director provides guidance to the departments on methods of procurement in accordance with State procurement regulations and to maximize College resources. Reviews, edits and approves specifications for formal and informal solicitations, addenda, amendments, contracts and purchase orders. Develops and reviews invitations to bid (ITB’s), request for proposals (RFP’s) and request for information (RFI’s). Working with CUNY General Counsel, reviews all contracts to ensure conformance with CUNY policy. Oversees high level procurement projects on behalf of the College. Responsible for the College’s P- card, T-card, Print Smart and MWBE Programs. Oversees the operations of the College’s Print Shop and Central Stores/Mailroom. Supervises approximately 15 direct reports.
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required. Knowledge of NYS procurement regulations and guidelines, PeopleSoft computer applications, or equivalent preferred.

Directs a College's purchasing and contracting operations including staff supervision and legal compliance.
- Oversees the procurement of all goods and services necessary for a College's operations within the parameters of CUNY and NYC procurement regulations.
- Represents the College on purchasing and contract matters, providing expertise and guidance during the bidding, selection, negotiation and contract processes.
- Manages and supervises the purchasing office staff to assure all activities related to goods and services are performed in accordance with the applicable guidelines and regulations.
- Manages the Board Resolution process for contracts and purchases in excess of mandated amounts.
- Liaisons with College, University and governmental representatives.
- Provides reports to the executive administration on department operations as required.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
