The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Senior Financial Analyst / R0050886. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Budgeting and Financial Analysis and is responsible for providing treasury services and analytical support to Financial Services, Budget, and the Vice-Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA). This role is responsible for the planning and execution of day-to-day and period-end Treasury activities, including managing the company’s cash flow forecast identifying cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities, and proposing the short-term investment strategies resulting from such. In addition, this role will be responsible for the analysis of the financial information utilized in the calculation of the Productivity Funding Formula allocation to ensure its accuracy and make recommendations for how the institution can improve its funding.
Other responsibilities will include the completion of special projects and reports for Financial Services, Budget, and the VCFA as requested. Requires the ability to perform independent, highly complex and technical, budget and financial analyses. This position is governed by state and federal laws as well as agency and institution policy.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field; Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in accounting or finance; Previous financial reporting experience and a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); Proficient in using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications: An advanced degree in Finance or a related area, and/or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA);Workday, Ellucian ?Banner, and/or Anaplan experience; At least six (6) years of professional experience in accounting or finance; Experience in a university setting.
