The ideal candidate will possess and be able to demonstrate: experience and success in development and fund-raising activities, including the ability to lead, organize and motivate an advancement team; exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; and knowledge of technology and commitment to prospect management.
Essential personal characteristics include integrity and a good strategic judgment; self-motivation, goal orientation and sensitivity to the needs of diverse constituencies; a high degree of initiative and creativity; an active, maturing Christian faith journey; and, a willingness to understand the relationship of Anderson University to its sponsoring organization, the Church of God, Anderson IN. A baccalaureate degree is expected; advanced degrees and/or other professional certifications such as CFRE are preferred. Comparable comprehensive experience at the senior executive level in other organizations will strengthen the application.
