The purpose of the Business Officer is to assist the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Business Services in the business operations and with compliance issues. This position will be responsible for managing all the contracts and agreements in Business Service ensuring payments from our vendor partners are paid according to the contract. In addition, the Business Officer will be responsible for overseeing Business Services contract management systems and other on-line systems in the department. Position will be responsible for providing oversight to the production of monthly and annual financial reports for contracted services and University service areas recapping performance and financial audits (quarterly and annually). University service areas include Conference and Institutes, Post Office, Passport Office and Ticket Office. Duties include monthly verification of contractor campus card sales. He or she will also work on other projects assigned by the Assistant Vice Chancellor Business Services. Position will serve as Assistant Director of Business Services and Chief Financial Officer for Business Services.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related business field. Three to five (3-5) years of contract experience strongly preferred; and a minimum of two to four (2-4) years Accounting, Budgeting or Bookkeeping experience required.
