The Business Manager provides fiscal and contract management to the Dean of the College of Education. Formulates and implements fiscal policies and procedures. Coordinates and prepares the operating budget and reviews expenditures for budgetary control. Performs ongoing budget analyses. Maintains and provides all data to the Dean for quarterly University budget meetings with the Provost. Presents budget recommendations to the Dean to maximize income from internal and external programs. Prepares and manages all financial and payroll budget reports for department on all E&G, Sponsored Programs, and Auxiliary accounts.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization. Five years of appropriate experience. Experience in word processing, spreadsheet programs, and financial reporting. Experience operating a personal computer with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree from an accredited institution in business or related field. Five years of higher education experience in Academic Affairs office. Experience working in higher education academic affairs, policymaking, budget and personnel areas. Experience with SCT Banner or ability to learn.
