Advanced degree in Accounting, or CPA or J.D. and 5 or more years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 7 or more years of progressively responsible related experience; comprehensive and advanced knowledge of tax accounting practices and principles; ability to research tax laws, regulations and treasury guidance and communicate the results of research to laypersons; ability to produce, analyze and communicate comprehensive financial/tax reports and returns effectively to all levels of management, government and financial officials; strong oral and written communication skills, as demonstrated by a writing sample.
Professional experience related to U.S. federal taxation of foreign nationals, NRA tax withholding, IRS Forms 1042 and 1042-S, and/or international tax treaties; Masters of Taxation, J.D. or CPA; familiarity with tax issues particular to higher education, including but not limited to unrelated business income tax, Form 1098-T, taxation of scholarships, education related credits, and issues relating to donations and gifts; experience with financial systems and software such as Kuali Financial Systems, PeopleSoft, and International Tax Navigator.
This a full-time, permanent position. Salary will be commensurate with successful candidate’s background and experience.
