Associate Director of Financial Management
The Office of the Provost and Virginia Commonwealth University invites applications for a professional faculty appointment to serve as the Associate Director of Financial Management.
The Office of Academic Finance and Administration supports the Provost and is responsible for providing leadership and direction on budget development, implementation and evaluation for the areas reporting to the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Other responsibilities of the Office include: providing timely, high-quality financial reports and financial policy analyses to the Provost and other senior administrators; guidance on proper financial management, reporting and compliance for the units under the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; policy analyses, direction and management for the University's Higher Education Equipment Trust Fund and Student Technology Fee allocation processes; leadership and direction on academic space utilization and emergency preparedness for the Monroe Park Campus and general administrative support to the Provost including working with areas to resolve problems and issues.
The primary responsibilities of this position include managing the Provost's budget; providing fiscal assistance and training to the Monroe Park Campus fiscal administrators; assist in developing a fiscal year budget plan for areas under the Provost; managing the University's Higher Education Equipment Trust Fund program; coordinating the year-end Education &General (E&G) Budget projections for the Monroe Park Campus; evaluating and administering the University's Student Technology Fee allocation process; coordinating the Agency Risk Management and Internal Control Standards (ARMICS) for the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; and developing ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
