Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Director of Housing and Dining for Business Operations. As a member of the University Housing and Dining Services Senior Management Team, the Associate Director of Housing and Dining for Business Operations acts as the chief financial officer for the department. This individual supervises and coordinates the fiscal management of residential life, facilities, dining, university apartments, summer operations, and administration. The central office accounting, budgeting, and finance personnel are supervised by this individual. The financial aspects of the Housing and Dining department include: budgeting, planning, forecasting, financial statements preparation and analysis, internal control, monitoring purchasing and payable processes, conducting staff training, developing financial policies and procedures, monitoring payroll, and financial system development. The Associate Director reports to the Director of University Housing and Dining Services.
Minimum requirements include an MBA and professional experience working in management, accounting, and budgeting
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field and professional experience working in management, accounting, and budgeting experience and be a CPA.
The successful candidate must provide comprehensive financial management for the department and be able to develop strategies and analysis to resolve issues. The individual must possess strong leadership skills, effective supervision skills, and oral and written communication skills. This person must have the ability to interact positively with people and promote a cooperative, efficient, and effective work environment. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
Preferred qualifications include full-time work experience in higher education.
