Under the administrative direction of the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Executive Director for Real Estate is responsible for leadership and oversight on all Washington State University real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions; long-term leases and ground leases, acceptance and management of endowment properties, and development and execution of privatized development projects. This position advises University leadership and implements strategies relating to the sale, acquisition and leasing of University real property. In addition, this position provides both oversight and assistance for property transactions at all WSU campuses and non-campus leases. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, real estate or a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, including at least three (3) years of senior level practical and managing experience in real estate or a closely related field. An advanced degree, preferably in business administration or law is preferred and may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience. Work experience in higher education real estate transactions or a public agency or institution in the state of Washington is a plus.
